Top country FCC ID submissions from 2019 - 2023

By the end of 2023, manufacturers from China dominated the submission of FCC IDs with a total amount of 9,928 devices reported. This was an overall decrease from the 12,768 submitted in 2022. The country with the 2nd most number of FCC IDs reported was the United States with 3,991 devices, also a decrease from the previous year.
Best of the rest
For the past 5 years, the same 3 countries have rounded out the top five global countries who are submitting FCC IDs: Taiwan, Hong Kong, and South Korea. Even without taking revenue numbers into account, this provides evidence of the vast quantity of electronics manufacturing in Asia. We expect this trend to continue with the top countries, but more movement could happen between the second-tier country's FCC ID submissions.
US vs China manufacturing
Since last leading global FCC ID submissions in 2019, US electronics manufacturing new device quantities have remained fairly flat. At that same time, new devices from Chinese manufacturers entering the US market have exploded to take the top spot by almost 2X in 2022.
